This limited edition (only 500) and numbered ornament is created with 24k gold on jewelers brass and is exclusively produced by The Charleston Mint in Brevard.

They are available at The Bookshelf, Tryon House Apparel, Tryon Mountain Hardware, The Farm House, the Fine Arts Center and at TFACs Ultimate Holiday Party on December 10.

Did you know that the original 12 were designed by Thomas Thorne-Thomsen of Tryon? It was his idea to create an ornament as a fund raiser for the Fine Arts Center. Thorne-Thomsen did all the work of designing and making the ornament.

When Tommy decided to end his design work, TFAC worked with Tryon Painters & Sculptors to find a new local artist. Paul Koenen of Saluda stepped forward and has designed the last six.

This new series is designed to incorporate our whole community. This year Morris is visiting the Tryon Clock Tower, next year maybe the Polk County Courthouse. TFAC wants the publics opinion. Where should Morris go next?

The ornament has graced the State Christmas Tree in Raleigh, traveled to Japan and quietly hung on our own tree.

All proceeds from sales of this ornament benefit the Fine Arts Centers general operations.

Some of the past ornaments are available by contacting TFACs business office at 828-859-8322 ext. 210.
