Christmas Candlelight Tour Dec. 5

A holiday candlelight tour will be held December 5 in Upstate South Carolina.

The District One Released Time Ministrys self-guided Christmas Candlelight Tour will take place Saturday, December 5 from 4 to 7 p.m.

Tickets are available in all locations. Refreshments will be served at Country Peddler in Campobello.

Four homes in the Upstate S.C. area will be included on the tour.

The home of Randy and Patti Babb, at 13825 Asheville Highway in Inman, was originally owned by Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Gowen, who reconstructed the home in 1945.

The decorations include the entire Christmas collection of local artist Pameal Rattray Brown, which is displayed throughout the home. The Babbs say they enjoy sharing their holiday display with family and friends.

The home of Brad and Barbara McPeters, at 166 Grandview Drive in Inman, was built by the homeowners in 2005 and consists of four bedrooms and three bathrooms.

The family of five says they enjoy entertaining with family and friends during the Christmas holidays.

Harry and Peggy Bradys two story, four bedroom, two and a half bath country home, with a wrap-around porch, was built by Donald Collins.

The Bradys purchased the home, located at at 201 Carbandy Drive in Gramling, in 1989 as a retirement investment. The Bradys say that they love the area and the view of the mountains.

The home of Ben and Sonya Dobbins, at 238 Pierce Road in Landrum, sits on a knoll of eight acres with a winter view of Hogback Mountain.

The family says that their Christmas decorations and beautifully decorated Christmas trees give a feeling of southern hospitality.
