Thompson completed hair styling course; New parents

Earl Thompson of Earls Barber Shop, Columbus has completed a course in mans hair styling at Capitol Barber College in Columbia, S.C.

The instrumental ensemble of I Wonder is directed by Bennie Goodwin. The ensemble will appear Sunday at 7:30 p.m. at the Tryon First Baptist Church. Included in the ensemble are Judy Pittman, Jane Foy, Karen McEntyre, Rita Landrum, Ellen Douglas, Grant Vosburgh, Jon Kasciely, Phillip Feagan, Ronnie Lancaster, Nancy Honeman, Beth Page, Sue Wilson. Susan Smith is the pianist.

Mr. and Mrs. Maynard McGuinn of Mill Spring are parents of a daughter born November 18 at St.Lukes Hospital.

The Tryon, N.C. High Schools 1969 yearbook, The Tryonite has received a First Class Honor Rating in the 49 All American Yearbook Critical Service conducted by the National Scholastic Press Association at the Univ. of Minnesota. Director Kenneth Lackey will have some new faces in his production of The Desk Set December 4, 5 and 6.

Making stage debuts will be Jane S. Brown, Bernard Edwards, Happy McCloud, Sandra Pack, John Fischer, Warren Carson, Jr., Florence Fischer, Gary Hunt, John McKinney and Peggy Maroney. Dr. Tom Mize will appear for the first time in untold years.
