The recent Halloween Stroll through downtown Tryon enjoyed a high attendance this year, according to Tryon Downtown Development Association, the events sponsor.

A parade of colorfully and creatively attired children wove in and out of downtown shops calling out trick or treat. The stroll culminated at Rogers Park where a childrens costume contest drew a large and enthusiastic crowd.

Sisters Britain and Avery Hamrick wowed everyone with their lion and zebra costumes. Both placed first in the Most Original category in their age groups. Other costume categories were Scariest and Funniest.
