Big Sister Katie Malone wanted to carve a pumpkin with her Little Sister, Hailee. When they went by Tryon Mountain Hardware recently to choose a pumpkin, Jeff, of Tryon Mountain Hardware, donated the pumpkin for LS Hailee. At Katies house, the pumpkin was carved and then decorated with stars and glitter glue in true sister fashion.

Big Sister says she is really proud of her Little Sis, who she says has grown up so much and made a lot of progress during the time that they have known each other.

On their first outing two years ago, they dressed up in costumes to enjoy the Halloween Stroll in downtown Tryon. Since then, Malone has taught Hailee to swim, taken her boating on Lake Lanier, walked the dogs together, joined in BBBS activities and enjoyed various other outings in the community. Malone says she is glad to have made a difference in her Little Sisters life.
