John Steven Ford, 53 of Mill Spring took his final walk-about, Monday, October 26, 2009 in Spartanburg Regional Medical Center in Spartanburg, S.C.
Born in Polk County, he was the son of the late Edward E. (Buck) and Avree Walker Ford. Steve worked for Ivey Electric and was an avid hunter and fisherman and leaves behind many wonderful friends who will carry on the story of his life.
Survivors include one son, Justin S. Ford (Katie) of Charlotte; best friend, Sherry Lawter of Mill Spring, NC; one brother, James E. Ford; two sisters, Laverne Lemmon and Mary Elizabeth Beth Ford. Also Heather Greene, Tony Faulkner and Tyler Lawter.
A private celebration of his life will be held at a later date.
