The Spartanburg Little Theatre announces open auditions for Seussical, a musical based on the works of Dr. Seuss, on Monday and Tuesday, November 2 and 3 at 7 p.m. in the David W. Reid Theatre at the Chapman Cultural Center. Performance dates are March 5 to 7 and March 12 to 14.
Auditionees should be prepared to sing 16 bars of a musical theatre song. An accompanist will be provided (auditionees must provide their own sheet music). No a capella singing will be allowed.
There will also be a dance component to the audition, so auditionees should wear clothes which allow them to move freely.
A note on casting: while Seussical is a family-oriented musical, there are very few roles available for children under the age of 16.
