The Polk County JV football game scheduled for Thursday at 7 p.m. at home against Avery has been cancelled. Polk County head football coach Bruce Ollis say he was contacted by Avery, which said it would not be able to play because many of its players were hit by sickness. Avery said it recently had just six players at practice.
