Jane Harrison Claxton

Mrs. Claxton was the wife of Curtis Paul Claxton Jr. and the daughter of the late Robert James and Virginia Crowe Harrison.
Mrs. Claxton was an antique owner and operator of Bloomsbury Cottage. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother; she will be deeply missed. Though Jane loved her Earthly family, she was excited to join her Heavenly Father and loved ones that have gone on before. She was a member of St. Luke&squo;s Anglican Parish in Landrum.
In addition to her husband, survivors include one son, Craig C. Claxton and wife Sena of Greenville; two daughters, Teresa C. Clowney and husband Beau of Charleston; Lisa C. Edlund and husband Chris of Tryon, N.C.; four grandsons, William Clowney, Christian Edlund, Mitchell Claxton, Harrison Edlund; and four granddaughters, Kendall Claxton, Molly Claxton, Virginia Edlund, and Zoe Clowney.
Graveside services were held Tuesday, October 13, 2009 at Mt. Calvary Presbyterian Church in Roebuck, with Father Frederick Holck officiating.&bsp; The family received friends at the home after the graveside service.
The family would like to thank all those at the Cancer Center of the Carolinas in Greenville and McCall Hospice House in Simpsonville with whom she came in contact, for their compassion and excellent care.
