Ache Around the Lake is being held Saturday, October 10 at 8 a.m. at Lake Lanier.

The &dquo;Top Dog&dquo; Award is a unique handmade pottery creation by local artist Mimi Pospisil. Pospisil created last year&squo;s Ache awards for all winners (overall and age groups), and is again designing pottery prizes for &dquo;human&dquo; winners of both The Ache and The Ouch.

The doggie treat bags ‐ donated by race sponsor Waggin&squo; Train all natural dog treats ‐ will be available to all participants on race morning at registration. Registration begins at 6:30 a.m. in the Family Dollar parking lot.

Another perk to being a pooch at Ache Around the Lake? All dogs race free if accompanied by a registered person! All proceeds from this event will benefit the Hospital Foundation&squo;s Excellence in Care Initiative, focusing on equipment and facilities upgrades.
