ent will be celebrating 60 years of service this Sunday as well as fire protection week at an open house.

The open house will be held at the fire department from 2 to 4 p.m.

Firefighters will be celebrating fire protection week and displaying approximately $210,000 worth of FEMA grant equipment the department has purchased over the last three years. The equipment that will be on display includes new turnout gear and airpacks, a station standby generator and an exhaust evacuation system.

The Landrum Fire Department was chartered in 1949.

The public is welcome to attend the open house.
