Richard Charles Reser

He was born June 4, 1954, at the Naval Air Station on Whidbey Island, Washington.

He is survived by his wife, Anita Wagner of Saluda, his father and stepmother, Charles&bsp; and Sharon Reser of Colorado Springs, Colorado, stepfather, Robert Jensen of Colorado Springs, sisters Mindy Reser of Denver, Colorado, and Ruth Crandall of Falcon, Colorado, and brother John Reser of Los Angeles. He was preceded in death by his mother, Marilyn Vanhorn Jensen, of Colorado Springs.

Rick was a graduate of the University of Colorado at Boulder. He began his writing career at the Sheridan Press in Wyoming, and later moved to Oregon to work as a newpaper editor. Much of his subsequent career was with AT&T, first in San Francisco and later in Washington, D.C., as editor of in-house publications, speechwriter, and public relations representative.

In 1997 Rick and Anita moved to Saluda and started their own editing and writing services company. As a writer and as a friend, he used humor to bring people together, and he had a rare gift for turning a phrase.

Services were in Colorado Springs on September 12.
