A group of 22 volunteers from Polk County has been meeting monthly since November of last year. They have reviewed and modified the comprehensive plan section by section.

Polk County planning officials invite county residents to come to the upcoming informational meetings and help Polk County prepare for future growth and development through comprehensive planning. A comprehensive plan can be used by elected officials to form ordinances and policies that will help the county achieve the plan&squo;s goals.

A grant from the unrestricted fund at the Polk County Community Foundation helped provide the resources for the comprehensive plan. &bsp;
