&dquo;I want to take this opportunity to invite members of the public and the media to this event,&dquo; says Guice. &dquo;I will be discussing this past year&squo;s legislative session and talking about many of the issues that are important to the people of District 113.

&dquo;As I have said throughout my time in the North Carolina General Assembly it is imperative that we all take an active role in the future of North Carolina. This town hall meeting is the first step. I want to hear from the people and there will be ample time during this meeting for questions and answers.&dquo;

Guice says he had a &dquo;very successful&dquo; town hall meeting in Brevard on September 8.

A large crowd of Transylvania County residents came out to listen, ask questions and discuss the important issues facing our state, he says.

The residents talked about economic development, education, the legislative process and the state budget.

Guice says he plans to hold town hall meetings throughout District 113 to listen to the concerns of the people. District 113 includes Polk and Transylvania counties and the southern part of Henderson County. Guice was elected to the district seat last year.
