Jean Jordan

Born on November 22, 1933 in Tryon, she was the daughter of the late Pearl Metcalf Capps and Ruppy T. Capps and wife to the late Robert Lee Jordan.

Jean was one of six children, and is predeceased by William H. Capps and Julian E. Capps; and survived by sisters Maxine C. Thomas and her husband, Bill, Sara C. Bishop and her husband, Bill, and brother C.W. Capps and his wife, Nancy.

Jean married Robert in 1954 and settled in Greenville, S.C., where they had five children. She is survived by those five children, their spouses and grandchildren: Cora Wavelyn Jordan and her daughters Lindsey Marie Deweese and her son Cameron Kimsey, Paige Jordan Deweese and Whitney Wavelyn Robinson; Jeanne Jordan Cook, her husband Kenneth C. Cook, and daughter Jessica Lee Clary; Wilton Lee Jordan II and his wife Vivian and their children Wilton, Clayton and Hannah Laura Elisabeth; Elizabeth Ann Gladson and her husband Michael Gladson, and their daughters Ashley Ann and Rebekah Lynn Gladson; and David Jordan, his wife Patricia Lynn Jordan and their children Robert Lee and Mary Carman Jordan.

Visitation was held Monday, September 14 from 6-7:30 p.m. in McFarland Funeral Chapel and services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, September 15 at McFarland Funeral Chapel in Tryon, N.C.
