The humane society is located at 989 Little Mountain Road in the Columbus Township with the property comprising of 11.13 acres. The property is situated in the county&squo;s Multiple Use (MU) zoning district.

A copy of the written application is available for review in the office of the county manager at the Womack building.

In order to grant the conditional use permit for construction, the zoning board will have to consider such factors as whether or not the request will endanger public health and safety, will the request substantially injure surrounding property values, is the request in harmony with the surrounding property and does the request fit within the MU zoning district&squo;s intent.
