Phillip Charles Katrosh

Born September 11, 1943, in Passaic, N.J., he was the son of the late Philip and Margaret Katrosh.

After serving four years in the U.S. Air Force, he went on to graduate from Wofford College with a B.A. in English. he was an active member in the American Legion in Woodruff.

He was co-owner of Ka-Go Convenience Store for 24 years and owned and operated the Woodruff Coin Shop for six years. He is retired from the Tryon Daily Bulletin since 2005.

Surviving members include one son, Scott Katrosh (Wendy); granddaughters Olivia and Ella; two sisters, Barbara Briant (Frank) and Elizabeth Smith (Vincent); four nephews, Vincent Smith, Robert Smith, James Smith and Charles Judge; three great nephews, Andrew Smith, Cameron Smith and Nathan Judge and two great nieces, Sophia Smith and Anna Grace Judge.

Visitation will be held from 7-9 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 8 at Lanford Funeral Home in Woodruff, S.C. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Sept. 11 in Clearfield, Pa.
