Calling all bronze metal clay fanatics or those just learning.&bsp; In July of 2008, a new metal clay was added to the market, and it has become popular with precious metal clay lovers. Bronze clay has subtle differences from precious metal clay or art clay but one of the main advantages is the lower cost ‐ plus it looks similar to gold. Several items can be made from one 100 gram package of bronze clay.

Join Tryon Arts & Crafts in learning more about this product or honing your existing skills.&bsp;&bsp; Come study with Ellen Miles in a workshop Saturday, Aug. 29 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. and Sunday, Aug. 30 from 1 to 3 p.m.&bsp; Students are asked to bring a bag lunch and drinks.

The instructor, Ellen Miles, is a multi-media artist who has been working in jewelry design for the last ten years. She is a certified PMC & ACS instructor and teaches classes across the southeast. Miles continues to increase her skills by attending workshops and classes that enhance her work. She has a B.A. degree in early childhood education and enjoys teaching students of all ages. She has lived and worked in Georgia for 25 years but will be a full-time resident of Saluda this summer.

The cost of supplies/materials per student will include one 100 gram package of clay, basic tools, necklace cord and ear wires ‐ and is payable to the instructor during the workshop. &bsp;
