She was a member of Peniel Baptist Church and a homemaker.

She is survived by a son, Steve Wilson of Columbus; two daughters, Marian Baynard of Spartanburg and Shelby Jean Phillips of Tryon; a sister, Ilean Hutcherson of Columbus; four grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 6-7:30 p.m. Tuesday at Petty Funeral Home in Landrum. Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, August 12, 2009 at Peniel Baptist Church Cemetery.
