He was the son of the late Horace L. and Amanda Giles Nodine and husband of Frances Hawkins Nodine.

He was a member of Landurm First Baptist Church and owner of Nodine Body Co.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, Jack W. Nodine of Landrum; a sister, Janet Norton of Old Fort, N.C.; two grandchildren, Eric A. Nodine (Morgan) of Spartanburg, and Jennifer Nodine (Lane Walker) of Landrum, and a great grandson, Devin Walker.

He was predeceased by a son, Gary Nodine; three brothers, Ralph, Allen & Boney Nodine, and a sister, Eula Smith.

The family will receive friends from 2-2:45 p.m. Sunday, August 9, 2009 at Petty Funeral Home.&bsp; Funeral services will follow at 3 p.m. in the funeral home chapel, conducted by Rev. Andy Allen.&bsp; Burial will be in Evergreen Memorial Gardens.
