Mohawk Industries has announced plans to cut 45 positions from its plant in Landrum. The commercial carpet manufacturing facility is forced to make the cuts because of declines in commercial construction and renovation, says the company. Mohawk says it will help employees who were laid off look for new jobs at other company plants and work with the state to find other employment opportunities.
