Steve was a graduate of Eastside High School and a veteran of the U.S. Navy and served on the U.S.S. Saratoga.

Steve is survived by his wife, Susie Stierwalt Bakeman, a son, Dillon B. Bakeman, and a daughter, Lori N. Bakeman of Greer, S.C. Also, by his mother, Dot Bakeman of Taylors, S.C.; his sister, Karen Neal; and brothers Kevin Parker, George, Charles, and Larry Bakeman, all of New York; and brothers Jerry and Todd Bakeman of Taylors and Stan Bakeman of Florida. He was predeceased by his father, G. Henry Bakeman.

Steve was a shift manager at C&S Companies, where he worked for 19 years.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
