Ronald was born in Polk County on Aug. 20 1953 and departed his life on Sunday, July 5, 2009, after a brief illness at Spartanburg Regional Hospital.

He was a member of New Zion C.M.E. Church. He was united with his longtime love, Shirley Staley. He had one deceased brother George (Adrain) Gary.

Left to cherish fond and endearing memories are: Four brothers, David (Gwen) Gary of Rutherfordton, Charles (Donnie) Gary, Shawan Moore of Rutherfordton, Kelvin Moore of Rutherfordton, two sisters, Ann Littlejohn of Tryon, Karen Twitty (Jimmy) of Tryon, Pop Alonzo Petty and Aunt Lula McDowell and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and other relatives and friends.
