Mr. Wilson was born in North Miami Beach, Fla., and was a crop dusting pilot with Craig Craft Air Services in Hertford and was formerly a &dquo;high-time&dquo; and highly experienced commercial airline pilot. A Catholic by faith, he was a member of the NRA.

Surviving are his wife, Margarita Maria Castillo Wilson; his parents, Timmy Lee and Nancy Mayer Wilson of Niceville, Fla.; his children, Cindy Maria Wilson and Jonathan M. Wilson Jr., both of the home; his sister, Tamara Suzanne Wilson of Columbia, S.C.; and his brother, Robert Mayer Wilson of Niceville.

A memorial mass will be held Tuesday at 7 p.m. in St. Anne Catholic Church, Edenton, by the Rev. Douglas P. Reed. Miller Funeral Home & Crematory, 735 Virginia Road, Edenton, is assisting the family with arrangements.
