Lewis Franklin Brinson

Lewis was born in Pamlico County, N.C., on July 3, 1916. He retired from Eastern Airlines after 37 years of service and moved to North Carolina from Daytona Beach, Fla. in 1980. He was an avid gardener, beekeeper, and wine maker for many years and was a long time member of Polk County Kiwanis up until the time of his death.

Lewis is survived by his wife of 70 years, Martha Kerr Brinson, his daughter, Delores Brinson of Columbus, and his son and daughter-in-law, David and Anita Brinson of Marshall, Va. Also surviving are two grandchildren.

Graveside services will be held at a later date in Mooresville, N.C.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to Hospice of the Carolina Foothills, 130 Forest Glen Drive, Columbus, N.C. 28722.
