Rutherford-Polk-McDowell health director Wilson resigns

After the District Board of Health meeting on June 16, Buck Wilson notified the board that he was resigning his position as the Rutherford-Polk-McDowell District health Director so that he can take a position as health director in Cumberland County.

Wilson will be working with the Rutherford-Polk-McDowell health district until July 17 to allow an orderly transition.

The Rutherford-Polk-McDowell District Board of Health will be meting soon to appoint an Interim health Director and to establish a search committee that will plan and to lead the process for selecting a new district health director

The district board of health and its executive committee will be working with Wilson and all of the district management team in the meantime to aid in the tarnsitioning of pending matters and to support and foster the work of the district health department and home health programs.
