The best hand will win $500. Even the worst hand will be awarded a nice gift basket. Area motorcycle enthusiasts are encouraged to participate and spread the word among friends to support the area nonprofits. For more information, call David Cothran at (864) 266-8267.

The three nonprofits are also hoping that many people will participate in the first ever Rubber Duckie River Race on both Friday and Saturday during the festival.

There will be two heats on Friday and one on Saturday. Winners of each will win $100 and the top ten in each heat will compete in the final race for a chance to win the grand prize of $1,000.

Duckie Race tickets are available in advance through any of the designated organizations or at the Book Shelf and Kathleen&39;s Simply Irresistible Gallery in Tryon, or Watson&39;s Appliance in Columbus. They may also be purchased in multiples for reduced rates. Find them onsite at the BBQ Festival too. Just look for the big yellow duck.
