Arrest made for copper stolen in Campobello neighborhood

The Spartanburg County Sheriff&39;s Office has arrested two men for violating the county&39;s copper ordinance after they were found with copper wire by homes in Campobello. The men, Gregory McDermott of Greenville and Dennis Kimbrell of Greer, were found last Thursday morning at 167 Barnette Road after deputies arrived in the area to serve an unrelated arrest warrant. The men were apprehended after a foot pursuit, and deputies found multiple rolls of copper wire and tools for gathering copper wire. Both men were transported to the Spartanburg County Detention Center.
