(photo submitted)The Polk County Tourism Office, with support from the Blue Ridge National Heritage Area, invited UNC-TV to feature Saluda in their North Carolina Weekend program.&bsp; A UNC-TV film crew was in the area filming last Thursday and Friday. The first piece, featuring The Purple Onion Restaurant, will air as an &dquo;After Dark&dquo; segment in this week&squo;s show, which airs Thursday, June 4 at 9 p.m. and again on Friday, June 5 at 8 p.m. on UNC-TV. The broadcast time may vary in local areas. Susan Casey, owner of The Purple Onion, was interviewed about the restaurant. The Orchard Inn, Pearson&squo;s Falls and downtown Saluda will be featured in a future UNC-TV program.
