She was formerly employed at South Carolina Elastic.&bsp; She was a long time member of Landrum First Baptist Church, where she was a former worker in the children&squo;s Sunday school department, worked in the intermediate training union and was the pianist for the adult department for many years.

She is survived&bsp; by a son, James Theron Smith and wife Anne of Pisgah Forest, N.C.; a daughter, Taska Maybry and husband Leroy of Landrum; four grandchildren, Sonya M. Ledbetter and husband Billy, Dwayne Maybry and wife Kim, Amanda S. Siniard and husband Aaron, and Maggie Smith; seven great grandchildren, William, Matthew, and Andrew Ledbetter; Bailie and Evan Maybry; Nyx and Lillie Siniard; a brother, Horace L. Nodine Jr. of Landrum; and a sister, Janet Norton of Old Fort, N.C.

She was predeceased by three brothers, Ralph, Allen and Boney Nodine.

The family will receive friends from 2-3 p.m. Wednesday at Landrum First Baptist Church. Funeral services will follow at 3 p.m. at the church, conducted by Rev. Andy Allen. Burial will be in Evergreen Memorial Gardens.
