Learn about &dquo;Easy Care Roses&dquo; from Paul Zimmerman of Ashdown Roses. He will be speaking at 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. at his booth on Trade Ave. Ashdown Roses has been in the area for nine years and ships rose bushes worldwide. Its new retail location is at Motlow Creek Gardens in Gowensville.

Janet Pyatt is an herbalist and owner of Pyatt&squo;s Herbs and More. She will talk about &dquo;Uses of Herbs in Today&squo;s Kitchens&dquo; at 11:30 a.m., and at 2:30 p.m. she will speak on the &dquo;Historic Use of Herbs.&dquo;

Rema Keen and Dixie Bisbee started Crescent Growers in Campobello five years ago. Just in time for the summer months, Keen will talk about &dquo;Heat Resistant and Drought Tolerant Plants&dquo; at noon and 3 p.m. at their booth on Trade Ave.

The Model T Ford Club will be rolling into town, as they do every Memorial Day, parking in the lot of the First Baptist Church.

In addition to viewing a display of antique tractors at the fire department, children can check out the fire engines and adults can donate blood at the Spartanburg Bloodmobile. Firemen, with the help of the Landrum High School Band, will be selling a hot dog lunch from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. to benefit the station and the band.

Across from the fire department at the Mail Room, FENCE will have activities for children. Foothills Humane Society will be bringing animals for adoption.

The Landrum Area Business Association is an organization made up of volunteers whose purpose is to promote the business community and highlight the varied activities the area has to offer. This fun-filled day in downtown Landrum promises to do both, organizers say.
