The insurance and medical industries are lobbying for their interests in the health care reform debate under way in Washington. To add balance to discussions on this issue, many people say, citizens&39; voices need to be heard.

Mark your calendars to come to the Community Health Care Reform Forum that will be held Wednesday, May 27 at Isothermal Community College, Columbus. Enjoy refreshments and conversation from 6:30 to 7 p.m. A short film, &dquo;Sick Around the World,&dquo; will start at 7 p.m. Learn how five democracies deliver health care for all but with remarkable differences. Learn what tried and tested ideas might help the United States reform its health care system.

Following the film, a panel of area experts will lead a community discussion on health care reform. The group will discuss the options and what citizens should do to ensure that their voices are heard and they get the health care system they want.
