&dquo;I started looking at them because my uncle played there,&dquo; he said. &dquo;I met the coach and the campus was very, very nice. I felt it was a good fit for me.&dquo;

Heidelburg College in Tiffin, Ohio is a small liberal arts college of about 1,200 students. Back in 1972, its football team won the Division III national championship, and Ruth&squo;s uncle, James Ruth, Jr., was the starting quarterback on that team.

J.P. is also a standout for the Wolverine baseball team, and said he has spoken with the coaches at Heidelberg about possibly playing both sports.

&dquo;Football is probably more natural to me, but I guess we&squo;ll decide when I get up there if I should play both,&dquo; he said.
