Greenville Pony Club sends 12 to Carolina Dressage

In the Mixed C/D Division, Elizabeth Baucom of Greenville, S.C., on a scramble team with members from Lake Norman Pony Club earned 1st in Horse Management and 4th Overall.&bsp; &bsp;

In the C Division, Kathryn Karns of Piedmont, S.C., on a scramble team with members from Palmetto Pony Club earned 2nd in Horse Management and 2nd Overall. Frances Parrish of Easley, S.C., on a scramble team with members from Yadkin Valley Hounds Pony Club earned 1st in Horse Management and 1st Overall.

In the Qualifying Division, Rachel Wood of Greenville, S.C., Shelby Ritacco of Greer, S.C., and Darbie Barr of Salem, S.C., on a scramble team with Yadkin Valley Hounds Pony Club earned 2nd in Horse Management and 2nd Overall. Rachel and Shelby earned the Musical Freestyle Award, and Darbie won the Special Horse Management Award for the division. Eliza Culbertson of Greer, S.C., Olivia Case of Campobello and Alyssa Turner of Greer, S.C., earned 1st in Horse Management and 3rd Overall.&bsp; Rachel, Shelby and Olivia plan to compete in the USPC Championships to be held in Virginia this coming July.

The next Carolina Region rally in which the club will participate is the Eventing Rally to be held at the Carolina Horse Park in

Raeford, N.C., the weekend of May 8-10. Teams of different levels will compete in three phases of competition—dressage, show jumping and cross country.
