The stray lab dog in Tryon that the police department had been trying to apprehend for weeks was captured Monday night by a Tryon woman, according to Tryon Police Chief Jeff Arrowood. The woman approached the dog and placed a leash on the dog she had on her near the IGA where the dog had been hanging out for over a month. The woman called the police and the dog was taken to the Foothills Humane Society for rehabilitation. Tryon police officers plan to rehabilitate the dog and give the dog to one of several residents who have expressed interest in adopting the dog.
