With nine albums under her belt, an extraordinary live show and active touring career throughout the U.S., combined with a string of accolades from the likes of The Washington Post, &uot;The Village Voice&uot; and &uot;The New Yorker,&uot; Susan Werner has become one of the defining genre-busting artists of our time. As an artist Werner commands rapt attention from her audiences, regardless of the variety of musical material she uses to enthrall her audiences. For her Tryon performance, Werner will take to the piano and will be accompanied by world-class cellist Julia Biber and phenomenal harmonica player Trina Hamlin. The trio will be sharing songs from Werner&squo;s latest release &uot;Classics&uot; as well as selections from her many varied previous releases.

It is with her concept records in the past four years that Werner has firmly established her reputation as one of the boldest creative forces on the acoustic scene today. In her recent release &uot;Classics&uot; Werner delivers entirely new string arrangements of mainstream popular songs by top songwriters from a &dquo;classical&dquo; pop era, i.e. the sixties and seventies.
