Gertrude Bull

Born in Tryon, she was the daughter of the late William Walker and Nettie Mae Tucker Foster. She was the widow of Frankie N. Bull. who died in 2005.&bsp; She was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church in Columbus.

Surviving are two sons, Randy Barnette of Hendersonville, N.C., and Glenn Barnette (Katherine) of Columbus. Two daughters, Shelia Pegg (Bobby) of Blue Ridge, S.C., and Sandy Heatherly (Kendall) of Saluda. Also surviving are five grandchildren, one great-grandchild and four step-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, April 17, 2009 in the McFarland Funeral Chapel in Tryon, with Rev. Brian Wilson officiating.

Burial will be in Good Shepherd Memorial Park in Boiling Springs, S.C.

The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1 to 2 p.m. in the McFarland Funeral Chapel.

The family will be at the home of a son, Glenn Barnette, 68 Day Lilly Lane, Tryon.
