Tryon Garden Club dedicates sculpture at Tryon Depot commemorating railroads

&dquo;The Town of Tryon is deeply appreciative to the Tryon Garden Club for all you have done for our citizens for 65 or so years to make this place beautiful,&dquo; Scott said. &dquo;Thank you, thank you, thank you.&dquo;

Eiserloh says the sculpture commemorates the railroad bringing the world to the towns of Landrum, Tryon and Saluda.

&dquo;I just hope that citizens of this area enjoy this sculpture as much as I did making it,&dquo; Eiserloh said during the dedication.

The Tryon Garden Club&squo;s beautification project at the depot gardens, which has been ongoing since 2006 has been made possible from grants from the Tryon Garden Club Special Projects Fund of the Kirby Endowment Funds at the Polk County Community Foundation, the Polk County Community Foundation Unrestricted Fund and the annual Tryon Parks Grant.
