He was the son of the late Grover Cleveland and Mary Louvency Wofford and widower of Shirley Romig Wofford.

He was a member of Gowensville Baptist Church and a retired industrial mechanic. He served in the U.S. Army.

He is survived by three sisters, Pearl Calvert of Inman, Arnetta Herrington of Durham, N.C., and Carrie Ponder of Martinez, Ga., and several nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by brothers and sisters, Floyd Wofford, Beulah Howard, Annie D. Becknell, Margaret Brown and G.C. Wofford.

Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at Fairview Baptist Church Cemetery, conducted by Rev. Chad Rickenbaker. The family will receive friends following the service at the church.
