Born in Ingham County, Mich., she was the daughter of the late Leon and Lulu Bell Montrose Fellows. Mrs. Earley was a member of Tryon Second Baptist Church, where she sang in the choir. She was the widow of Charles H. Earley, who died in 1996.

Surviving are: four daughters, Cathy Burns (Stan) of Landrum; Manda Jackson (Donald) of Green Creek; Debbie Gibbs (John) of Tryon and Lori Hyder (Justin) of Landrum, S.C. One brother, Leon Fellows (Gerry) of Lansing, Mich. Also surviving are 8 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren..

Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, April 9, 2009 in Polk Memorial Gardens, Columbus, with Rev. Albert Teague and Rev. Dennis Jones officiating.
