April 13-19 is National Library Week, and the Polk County Extension Associates in cooperation with the Polk County Library, are celebrating the history of the Polk County Library. The two organizations are a natural partnership, because the Extension Associates were instrumental in bringing library services to Polk County. A celebration of the history of the Polk County Library will be held Friday, April 17 at 1 p.m. in the meeting room of the library in Columbus. Speakers, including Anna Pack Conner, Cleo Geer, and Cindy Nanny, will talk about the shared history of the Extension Associates and the establishment of the county library.
