&dquo;We are thankful for the support the Polk County Community Foundation has given to our Agricultural Education Program and the school farm,&dquo; says Polk County High teacher Chauncey Barber. &dquo;The school farm has improved the quality of our agricultural education program as well as contributed to the continuing increase in enrollment into agricultural education classes.&dquo;

Barber adds that the high school will continue to improve learning opportunities for students at the school farm by seeking input from the local community, state and national officials.

&bsp;&dquo;Many schools in and outside our region have started making plans for similar projects and we are grateful that our community has been more progressive in making this happen,&dquo; he says.
