The Lady Wolverines responded by scoring six goals in the second 40 minutes to beat the Lady Mountaineers 9-0.

Midfielder Anna Trakas blasted a free kick into the back of the net from 20 yards out to score the game&squo;s first goal. Kaitlin Franks followed with another score in the 15th minute, and Brooke Campbell muscled a ball over the goalline to end the first half at 3-0.

The second half was a scoring free-for-all. Mitchell did not have a shot on goal until the 60th minute, but by then, Caroline Willis had scored twice and Campbell and Franks each netted another goal. Trakas converted another free kick with 13 minutes to play, and Katie Wilson bounced the final goal of the game past a tired and frustrated Mountaineer keeper.

Polk is now 5-4, and 3-0 in the Western Highlands Conference.
