After hearing concerns expressed by farmers market organizers, Columbus Town Council decided to allow Gibson Street to be used for a Saturday flea market. The town agreed to close Gibson Street on Saturday mornings for the flea market. Courthouse Street is already closed on Saturday mornings for the farmer&squo;s (tailgate) market. The closing of Gibson Street will be done on a trial basis.
