A native of Norfolk, Va., daughter of the late Charlie and Cora Shine, she was a homemaker.

Surviving are her husband, Terry Wayne Collins of the home; a daughter, Regina Hughes; four sons, Charles Hughes, Nicholas Hughes, Christopher Hughes, and Timothy Hughes; and five grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
