He is the son of the late Loran Alex and Elaine Edwards Brown Sr. He was an HVAC technician and a member of Greenpoint Baptist Church.

He is survived by a son, Drake Brown; a daughter, Lynnley Brown; two sisters, Debbie B. Newman of Spartanburg, S.C., and Robin B. Willard of Inman; a brother, Loran Alex Brown, Jr. of Columbus.

Graveside services will be held 11 a.m. Monday, March 16, 2009 at Good Shepherd Memorial Gardens officiated by Rev. David Lancaster.

The family is at the home.
