Grady L. Hembree

Born in Spartanburg, S.C., on August 23, 1921, he was the son of the late Farrell D. and Lilly (Bailey) Hembree and was the husband of the late Carolyn Foster Hembree, having celebrated 64 years of marriage.

Mr. Hembree was a member of First Baptist Church North Spartanburg and worked for Prince Growers Supply in Inman for many years as a parts specialist and later with Toy Hyder Farms in Campobello.

He is survived by two daughters, Shirley H. Foster of Inman and Vicki H. Steadman of Inman; one sister, Mildred Lisle of Landrum; four brothers, John Hembree, James Hembree, Frank Hembree, all of Inman, and Ralph Hembree of Fort Worth, Texas; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at Seawright Funeral Chapel on Thursday, March 12, with Dr. Michael Hamlet officiating.

Burial was in Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Inman, S.C.
