Polk managed to keep pace with Hiwassee in the third quarter, but was outscored by seven in the final period.

Denise Edwards and Kiki Miller, in their final game together on the hardwood, led Polk with 10 and nine points, respectively.

&dquo;We had a good year but that was a rough way to end,&dquo; said coach Mitch Davis.

Polk finishes the season with a record of 14-11.
