Wilson puts up 42 in regular season finale

Wilson exploded for 42 points Tuesday against the South Carolina School for the Deaf and Blind. He shot 75 percent from the field and hit 12 of 16 free throws.

Wilson also pulled down 19 boards, and he is one of only two area players averaging double figures in that category.

Point guard DeShaun Hall&bsp; currently leads the Upstate in steals at 3.7 per game and is second in assists at 6.6. He finished Tuesday&squo;s game with 10 points and seven assists.

The Cardinals were by up only two after the first period, 22-20, but took an eight-point lead into the half. After three quarters, Landrum was comfortably ahead by 12 at 62-50, but the Cardinals outscored the Green Hornets by 25 in the final quarter to end the game at 97-60.

It was the team&squo;s final game of the regular season. Their record for the year stands at 22-1, and they are ranked fourth in the state.

As the top seed from Region II-1A, they will host a playoff game at home Tuesday night.
