Carol Cox and Dean Campbell, two TLT veterans, defy description. Campbell is well-known in this area as the Squire of Dark Corner. TLT says it is glad that he has journeyed from the Dark Corner for this production so that he may continue to delight audiences. Cox has left her mark in the theater with her powerful roles in &dquo;Kindertransport&dquo; and &dquo;Gypsy.&dquo; Her performances continue to show her versatility as an actor as she shows us more of a comedic side in this show. &bsp;

Ed Richardson is cast as Seth Lord. He is joining the TLT stage for the first time. Richardson moved to this area because of his involvement with horses and fox hunting and now can add theater to his interests. Peter Eisenbrown is reprising the role of George Kittredge. He played the role in TLT&squo;s 2001 production, and had such a good time that he has come back to the stage after a six-year hiatus. &bsp;

Director Chris Tinkler is doing double duty by both directing and performing the role of C. K. Dexter-Haven. Tinkler has directed &dquo;Cats,&dquo; &dquo;Beauty and the Beast&dquo; and &dquo;Anything Goes.&dquo;

Whitney Moore is relatively new to the TLT stage. She will be remembered for playing the role of Jasmine in the 2005 summer show &dquo;Aladdin.&dquo; Moore plays the role of Tracy Lord, the bride‐to-be of George Kittredge and ex-wife of C. K. Dexter-Haven. Moore&squo;s role was made famous by Grace Kelly. &bsp;

No cast is complete without a chorus. These actors are all accomplished and will be recognized from leading roles in other productions. Tena Greene-Porter, Wendi Loomis, Rebecca Davis, Elisabeth Moore and Carol Cloud comprise the contingency of maids while Jay Brown, Jeff Carter and Steve Porter keep the

house running smoothly as the butlers.

The music for &dquo;High Society&dquo; is written by Cole Porter. To bring the music to life, musical director Lena Duncan has assembled some of the finest musicians in Polk County. Pam McNeil is on keyboard,&bsp; Duncan – piano, Tom Williamson ‐ french horn, Barbara Tilly ‐ flute, Benny Pullara ‐ trumpet and Cale Burrell ‐ percussion.

The show will run Feb. 26, 27 and 28 at 8 p.m. and on March 1 at 3 p.m. The next weekend dates at March 5, 6, and7 at 8 p.m. and March 8 at 3 p.m. Tickets may be purchased at the TLT Workshop at 516 South Trade Street or by calling 859-2466.
